Will the protein diet work?

After all, when it comes to healthy eating, there are plenty of alternative diets that people wish to assert are healthier than the traditional calorie counting method. They are sometimes motivated by a

desire to sell a book or a food vary, but some individuals swear by these methods.

The foremost famous diet lately has been the Atkins diet and its several copycats: the South Beach diet, GI, and the rest. These are

primarily high-protein diets that tell you carbohydrate (‘carbs’) are evil, and you must cut right down on them or even cut them out of

your diet completely. While nutritionists are incredulous that anyone would seriously think about cutting a complete food

cluster out of their diets, the books have sold within the millions.

The dirty very little secret of protein diets is that they do help you lose weight, however solely in the short term. They do this by inflicting you to grant yourself a disease called ketosis, caused by

lack of carbohydrate, that produces you lose weight, feel dangerous and have terrible breath. When you go

off the diet and back to your recent ways, however, you may simply put all

your weight back on again.

It is the same state of affairs with many alternative diets, including weight loss

milkshakes, that rarely contain anything resembling a balanced meal. Instead, they flood your body with protein and very little else, forcing it to burn fat – however

once more, the result quickly wears off if you stop using the shakes.

A cynic might say that they’re not really making an attempt to help you lose weight or eat healthily, therefore much as they are making an attempt to keep you on their dodgy diets forever. If you want to eat healthily, stick

with balance – irrespective of what anyone tells you, that’s never visiting change.
