Weight loss fast online information

There is a lot of weight loss fast online information. In fact the internet is fast becoming more usefull than an encyclopaedia or a phone book or even a library. This is because everything is at your finger tips.

Weight loss is becoming the biggest health issue in our modern world. This is because of our changing world and habits.  We are no longer the “hunter-gatherers” we used to be.  More and more our jobs are becoming sedentry and our lifestyles isolated.  We need to re-invent ourselves in this modern world if we are to have a more meaningful, interactive life that lasts far into our senior years with the physical attributes of years gone by that many now only dream of.  More and more people seem to have no energy and live limiting lives.  Why should we not surf at the age of eighty, play tennis and football in our sixties, have active lives with our grandchildren?  There are some illnesses we cannot easily avoid but obesity and related illnesses we can do something about.

The internet is a wonderful source of information on a wide range of diets, it is never too late to start.  I spent more than twenty years who though busy got caught up in this modern stress-filled life and became obese. Slowly but surely I found it harder and harder to keep up with everyone physically. My mind was willing but my body could not keep up!

Then the internet started revealing its true potential and information was more readily available as to different diets that were available – especially the ones that “speedily” allow us to lose weight. I am going to share with you the kind of information there is “out there”.

First of all there is the challenging Lighter-Life Diet. This diet states that if you adhere to the rules you will  lose about three stones in the nine weeks! Amazing – but it is being proved time and time again as you will see by the testimonies on the web site. You have to be at least three stone overweight and be approved by a doctor to qualify for the diet. It is a diet suited to those who find it difficult to limit how much of a food you eat since, apart form a special bar available from week two, there is no “food” only various flavoured high protein drinks – some sweet and some savoury. There are weekly meetings where you pay your “sub” and buy your next week’s food packs. Once the nine weeks are over, you follow the road to maintenance where various food categories are introduced over a twelve week period while you return to eating “normal” food.

You end up on mainly low GI type of foods and avoid the processed food which helped cause the problems and learn to take up sport and various other activities so that the weight loss is permanent. There are lots of simple tips and food value understanding on the way, all of which add up to a brilliant diet course. However it is not always easy and some people experience withdrawal symptons of moodiness and headaches especially in the early weeks and it does need determination. However this is helped by the weight loss that starts to kick in and you watch the excess bulges disappear.

Then there is also the Atkins Diet. This diet uses the bodies own mechanisms to lose weight but instead of replacing foods as in Lighter Life, the Atkins method is to limit the “nasty carbs” and only encourage the fats.  This diet also needs a Doctor’s support but does allow ordinary food.  There are few vegetables on this diet (which might suit some people) but no bread or anything with white flour and processed sugars. The idea is to stimulate the bodies ability to break down fat into glycerol and free fatty acids, known as ketosis/liptolysis (or Ketosis for short). This results in the forming
of ketone bodies which are then used as fuel for our muscles and various other energy outputs.  There are the usual side effects on this diet of headaches and even general tiredness for the first two weeks then after that things get a bit easier. So long as the body stays in ketosis then the weight comes off.  You can eat as much as you need to feel satisfied – including fried bacon and eggs, roast chicken, indeed a meat eaters dream. There are four stages, Induction(stict no more than 20g of Carbs a day but plenty of fats and protien including bacon and steak), then after two weeks you move to on-going weight loss when you can add a little fruit, and vegetables or wholegrain – but no bread or alchohol. The third stage is pre-maintenance where you add a few more foods and watch for any trigger foods that upset your weight ratio before returning to Maintenance.  As with all diets, it now means you will need to decide what your eating regime or balanced daily diet is to be – after all it’s no good going back to what you used to do as that will lead to more weight gain and will not help to keep those pounds off.

The other main type of fast weight loss is the fasting method or detox regime.  On these diets you use liquids for a short term to “flush” the body of toxins. Some of these diets like the Lemonade Diet or the Cabbage Soup Diet are meant to be for three to five days as they are very low in nutrients since the idea is to enable the body to discharge all “rubbish” and clear the system so stimulating the liver and kidneys. Many of these diets lead to weight loss as the body is more effective in using the foods we eat and disposing of what we don’t need.
