Total body Makeover

You might have said to yourself when you looked into the mirror. I wish I could transform the way my body looks. It’s a thought that a number of people think when they look at themselves. You don’t need to worry if the same thing has crossed your mind. It’s not just about losing weight. That is the beginning. What people want to do is to transform their bodies. They want to get six or even eight pack abs and a sculpted, toned and muscular body.

There are two things that you need to do in case you want to transform your body. The first is about losing weight. The second is about building muscle. Let’s begin from the beginning. The first and most important place to begin is to make sure that you get the right nutrition.

Let us take a look at the few simple rules that need to be followed to ensure proper nutrition. The first thing we need to address is our eating pattern. Instead of three square meals a day, we should have 5 or 6 smaller meals, spread out during the day. This increases the body metabolism and helps to burn calories faster. Eat vegetables, whole grains and fruit as these types of foods provide fiber that helps to keep you satiated for a longer time. Make sure that you get enough of protein in the form of turkey, chicken fish and lean meat. Protein is an alternative to fat as an energy source.

You can’t and shouldn’t cut out fat totally from your diet. However you should make sure that you eat the right kind of fats. Unsaturated fats such as the kind found in sesame seed and olive oil, fish, walnuts and almonds. A thumb rule you might want to use in case of fats is avoid fats that are solid at room temperature as these are saturated fats. Another type of fat that you should steer clear of is trans fat. Trans fat is found in highly processed foods such as pizza, fried chicken and potato chips.

A balanced, regulated and disciplined body transformation diet is very essential to loose weight. It is simple math. Along with eating the right type of food, you need to exercise to build muscle. Cardio exercise and weight training are both necessary to accelerate weight loss and to build muscle.

You too can have that wonderful sculpted look. It is all about burning more calories than you eat and increasing the muscle to weight ratio in your body.
