How to shed body fat

In this day and age learning how to lose body fat is something that is highly marketed. There are pills, powders, methods, systems and gadgets that all have the purpose of helping people lose body fat. However, the majority of these things are simply gimmicks that actually do nothing to help you reach your goal of losing body fat. In this article I will explain some of the major components that are needed in to lose body fat.

In learning how to lose body fat one needs to know how to eat properly. Eating right does not mean that you have to always eat foods that tast like cardboard. It does mean that you need to eat healthy, nutritious foods. A diet should have a large amount of protein in it. Protein is essential because you need it to build muscle, and your body uses a ton of fat to digest it. I personally shoot for 1 gram of lean protein (chicken, fish, or whey) per body fat per day. I take 167 grams of protein because I am 167 pounds. Protein stabilizes insulin, and kills your cravings for sugar. If your goal is to lose body fat then you need to have protein be a focus of your diet.

A important thing to note is that you need to learn how to do cardio correctly if you want to learn how to lose body fat. If you do excessive cardio then you will be walking the fine line of burning yourself out. Everyone has watched he person in the gym who does 3 hours of cardio a day. These people are nearly stopping their muscular growth by doing to much cardio. The best way to do cardio is keeping your VO2 max at 65% for a workout of 25 minutes 3 times a week. A 65% VO2 max is when you can talk and breath in your mouth and out your nose. Some individuals call this conversational pace.

Above everythign else you need to have a solid plan. Losing body fat is not a easy goal to have. Since you have read this article you are taking a big leap in the right direction.
