Do You Want to Get Rid of Love Handles? Try These Simple Tips

For pieces of ugly body fat, love handles are the most weirdly named. This flab is called  a “love handle” because it is where people put their arms around someone when they are embracing. Really, love handles are actually blobs of fat that people have a hard time getting rid of.

While it isn’t possible to get rid of fat in specific body parts, there are lots of workouts and lifestyle changes that can get rid of love handles. Below are a few tips to get rid of love handles.

It is crucial to change what you eat before you pick an exercise regimen. Fat deposits like the love handle form because someone eats more calories than they burn off. To stop this from happening, here are a few easy methods.

Consume at least 5 portions of vegetables per day. Next, cut out sugary drinks, soda and beer. Start more drinking water or if you must drink soda, switch out the regular kind for diet. To get rid of love handles forever, don’t forget that the food you fuel your body with is just as important as exercise.

Nothing will get rid of love handles and extra body flab sooner than cardio exercises. One of the best things about cardio is there is a huge variation of exercises that will work. Pick whatever cardio you like most, you can bike, run, jog or swim, or anything you prefer.  The metabolism boost will help you loose those love handles even faster.

If you suffer from joint pain, you might want to try low impact exercises like biking or elliptical training.  These are low impact but still get your heart rate up. Consistent cardio can definitely add years to your life. Cardio is addictive; once you start doing it consistently, it will be hard to quit.

As for the next step in getting rid of your love handles, keep in mind that most exercises involving your middle are similar to crunches. Crunches and similar ab exercises can really change the shape of your midsection, and they have the added benefit of being easy to learn and do.

To try a more difficult variety of the traditional crunch, begin by lying down on your back.  Lift your legs into the air and point your toes upwards. Then cross your arms across your chest or put them behind your head.  Try to touch your elbows to your knees.Use a pedaling bicycle motion to alternate your left elbow trying to touch your right knee and then switch elbows and knees.  This bicycle motion is simple, builds your abdominal muscles and will tone your stomach if you do it regularly.
