Are diet pills any help with a low calorie diet?
By Robert | June 10, 2008
Everyone is looking for the magic pill to lose weight. There are many versions available, some over the counter at chemists and others through diet clubs. I do not believe that the pills on their own are what helps you lose the weight. What works for real weight loss is that you are following an organised diet program that includes the use of diet pills.
Every year someone prints a paper on how they have found a pill that makes you lose weight. They never seem to come to market. The cynic in me thinks that this discovery would be hidden by the huge and lucrative diet industry.
The diet I did had food packs which I suppose is pills in a powder form. But that was not what helped me lose the weight. The whole package of food packs, group support and counselling was what did it for me.
So pills may help you but they are not a magic solution. While you are waiting for one why not start a complete very low calorie diet program of your own. Then you can forget about using pills to lose weight.
